Se lanzó CREAR, una convocatoria para desarrollar videojuegos con perspectiva de género y diversidad
El Gobierno Nacional, a través de la Secretaría de Medios y Comunicación Pública y, en esta ocasión, conjuntamente con el Ministerio de Mujeres, Género y Diversidad de la Nación (MMGyD), convoca a desarrollar videojuegos con perspectiva de género y diversidad.
La convocatoria se lanzará el 7 de marzo en Tecnópolis, en el marco de “Nosotras Movemos el Mundo” en la semana del 8M por el Día Internacional de las Mujeres Trabajadoras, y estará abierta hasta el 21 de abril. Esta iniciativa otorgará 930.000 pesos en becas de desarrollo a los 20 proyectos más destacados y para inscribirse hay que entrar a www.crearjuegos.ar.
«¿Cuántos videojuegos conocemos en el que su personaje principal sea una mujer? Y de estos pocos juegos que se nos puedan ocurrir, ¿cuántos de estos personajes no están diseñados con una mirada androcentrista -es decir, que toma como parámetro a los varones-? Queremos que la comunidad se anime a desarrollar contenidos con otra mirada, que deje de hacer foco en un único sector de público jugador y se empiecen a generar contenidos que sean inclusivos y puedan llegar y entretener a toda la población por igual», manifestó Pancho Meritello, Secretario de Medios y Comunicación Pública.
Por su parte, Diana Broggi, subsecretaria de Formación, Investigación y Políticas Culturales del MMGyD señaló: “Nos proponemos trabajar en videojuegos por su importancia como manifestación cultural y su peso en la reproducción de roles estereotipos o mandatos de género. Queremos que los mundos que creamos en los videojuegos promuevan nuevos imaginarios igualitarios y libres de violencias. Esperamos llegar con esto a toda una comunidad que habita el mundo de los videojuegos y nuevas tecnologías».
La convocatoria es abierta y está dirigida a personas mayores de 18 años con ciudadanía argentina, que sean estudiantes, profesionales o aficionadas a los videojuegos.
Crear Videojuegos con Perspectiva de Género y Diversidad es la tercera convocatoria de la Secretaría de Medios y Comunicación Pública, que continúa con la invitación a generar contenidos de valor cultural. Las anteriores ediciones de Crear se enfocaron en la federalidad y la accesibilidad, reuniendo más de 50 proyectos entre ambas convocatorias.
