¿Miente el INDEC?
Estiman que la pobreza es mucho más alta de la mostrada por el INDEC. Según un estudio, la pobreza alcanzó el 36% en los últimos tres meses.
Así lo señala el informe «Derrumbe social en la Argentina. Macri y el FMI lo hicieron», del Instituto de Pensamiento y Políticas Públicas (IPyPP), en base a los datos difundidos por el INDEC. Según el instituto la inflación es peor de lo que mostró ayer el organismo oficial, en manos de Cambiemos.
Según el organismo a cargo del economista Jorge Todesca, la cifra de pobreza presentada este viernes por el INDEC tiene que ver con el último semestre del año pasado. Sin embargo, los datos presentados permiten acotar esos resultados al último trimestre del 2018. Así las cosas, la situación social es todavía más grave.
Es importante aclarar que el organismo informa la cantidad de pobres e indigentes en los 31 conglomerados urbanos en los que mide. Por eso, los 8,9 millones de personas pobres informadas se convierten en 14,3 millones al extrapolarlo a todo el país. Lo mismo ocurre con la indigencia, ya que la cifra informada por el INDEC indica que en los 31 conglomerados hay 1,86 millones de personas que no cubren sus necesidades alimenticias.
Los cálculos del IPyPP, que conduce el economista Claudio Lozano, la pobreza de los últimos tres meses de 2018 es del 35,9%. Se espera que ese número se agrave en 2019, por la inflación y el estancación de la economía. Macri podría terminar su mandato con una pobreza del 40%. Las consecuencias de un ajuste diseñado por Cambiemos con la receta del FMI.
